Basic rules of the game:

Objective of the game: The aim of the game of checkers is to capture all of the opponent's pieces or to block them to prevent them from moving.

Start of the game: Each player places his 12 pawns on the dark squares of the game board.

Game progress: Each turn, a player moves one of his pawns one square diagonally forward. When a pawn reaches the last line on the opponent's side, it becomes a queen and can move in both directions.

End of the game: The game ends when one of the players captures all of the opponent's pawns or blocks his opponent so as to prevent him from playing.
